Think of learning to do a handstand...
It’s a complex combination of individual movements that come together to form the ability to balance on your hands.
A handstand is a stack: hand placement, finger spread, shoulder position etc.
It’s a
skill that is built bottom-up, where each part needs to be understood,
trained – and integrated with the others.
There’s a
structure and architecture to the handstand.
Only when
& if there are full integration and alignment from your hands through your shoulders
and hips to your feet will you be able to stand or balance on your hands.
But simply
knowing the individual parts a full handstand consists of isn’t enough –---
You have to physically get on the floor and train them
In the right order and sequence.
Consistently.
Progressively.
Under guidance & instruction.
The more you consistently train the right things at the right time in the right way, the stronger you will get and the faster you’ll master the skill.
That's tactical training - training individual objectives to achieve the overall outcome.
Skip those
steps, and your handstand will always be wobbly & inconsistent – and ultimately
collapses. Then, you either try again and might occasionally get lucky. Or, you
get frustrated and give up.
